The Task
Limelight Diamonds, launched in 2019, is India’s largest lab-grown diamond brand with 40+ stores nationwide. The challenge was to establish Limelight not just as a leader in the lab-grown space, but as a credible and aspirational player in the larger diamond jewellery category, dominated by legacy brands with deep pockets and strong consumer mindshare.
The Solution
Our research revealed the biggest barrier: people didn’t see lab-grown diamonds as “real.” Lack of awareness about the science behind them, coupled with decades of aspiration built around mined diamonds, kept acceptance low.
Limelight diamonds, however, are 100% real, purer than 98% of mined diamonds, and a far more sustainable choice.
The opportunity lay in putting these facts upfront and reframing the narrative. That’s how ‘Let’s Get Real’ was born, a campaign designed to educate, inspire, and build aspiration.
With Shilpa Shetty as brand ambassador and investor, the campaign struck the perfect balance of glamour and credibility. The 360° rollout didn’t just strengthen Limelight’s voice, it sparked a wider conversation that elevated the entire lab-grown diamond category.
